National Council Meeting

The Next National Council meeting will be held on 12^th of April 2008 (Saturday) at Birmingham. More details will follow in this regard.

UKKCA Annual Convention – 2008 – 19^th of July 2008

The 7^th UKKCA Annual Convention will be held at Kent. The date for the next convention would be 19^th of July 2008. Mr. Sunny Mailadumpara (President of

the Kent Region) is nominated as the Programme Coordinator for the next convention. More details will follow in the coming newsletters.

The following are the Regions and Units functioning under United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Association (UKKCA).

If you have any information about any other Knanaya Community in this country, please let us know. I only have information from 6 regions and 19 active units.

Only the representatives from the above units and regions will be eligible to attend and cast the vote in the next national council meeting. 

Youth Zone

     1) KCYL Birmingham is arranging a one day seminar on KNANAYA HISTORY, HERITAGE, CUSTOMS and TRADITIONS on 15^th of Feb-2008. For

       2)  Manchester Knanaya Catholic Association and KCYL Manchester are proudly presents Yuvajanotsavam 2008, which will be conducted on 29^th of March

2008. Talented and interested Knanaya members above 10 years can take part in Yuvajanotsavam 2008. Competitions will take place in the following items:

       1) Group Dance

       2) Single Dance

       3) Single Song

       4) Fancy Dress

All winners will get a trophy and certificate with the cash award. The registrations must be done before 15^th of March 2008. Those who are interested,

Stock Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury. 

2)   Please pray for Mr. Shemil Joseph Kaniyarukuzhiyil (Karimkunnam), who is admitted in hospital at Newcastle.

3)   Mrs. Jessy Thomas Parayankala, Neendoor. She is admitted in Royal Free Hospital, Pond Street, London
